Today was relatively uneventful. Our biggest thing to report today was the horrid jet lag. Three quarters of us were up at 2 am for the day. We played poker in the bathroom so that Caleb could sleep. We flew from Beijing to Nanjing today. Caleb does NOT like to fly, and he let everyone on the plane know for about an hour and a half. We did everything, but he continued to emit an ear splitting scream. This trip is hard for him. It’s hard for us all, but in the end, no matter how hard it is for any of us, I still believe that it is better for him in the long run than leaving him home without us for two weeks. So y’all, we need prayers for him. I can’t imagine putting people through this for the flight home.
We checked into our hotel, and while Caleb napped, Braden and I explored the mall.
At 5:00 pm, our travel group met up and explored a little of Nanjing together. The vegetable market is still so cool to me.
